Leather mirror, 'Green Tribute'
"The design of this mirror is meant to honor the art and customs of the Colla people, " confide Peruvian artists Manolo and Lucho. The Colla date back to 1200-1450 A.D., and it was their custom to bury lords and priests in tall funeral towers called chullpas. "Some of the chullpas are square and others are more rounded, which is what we tried to recreate with tooled leather shapes, " they explain.
